A poem for September
September
I do love the month of September As the lovely red and russet glows It’s time to pick the harvest fruits As the gentle winds do blow.
A pleasant walk into the woods Where leaves of copper, are piled in a mound. The fruit berries are ready to pick And ripened ones fall to the ground.
As spiders spin their lacy webs And robins with their bright redbreast There is no month that even compares As September is simply the best.Doreen E Hampshire

I am never surprised when you come up with a winner Doreen. I have always associated September with the "September Song" one of my favorites. But I also associate September with the new term of school, the end of school vacation whuch I gave up with grets but looking forward to seeing my school chums again especially a couple of dolls that I had a crush on! My poems for You Words of love flow from my heart They want to be put into rhymes Sometimes they appear so smart Or they're a struggle at other times. Happy moments stir tender words The heart with dreams overflows Trying times then work like swords As tears, doubt or pain just shows. I need to write the way I feel To share with you without fear You may get to know me real The mirror of my soul is clear. Till my last breath I wish to write Poems of love and hope spread wide A light that shines even at night And makes you feel me by your side.

A Group Photograph
I wanted to have a picture, Of two young grandsons. Along with three great grand children, Well this was going to be fun.
It’s a good job the photographer Was patient and kind. For Josh 20 months refused to join in, He wouldn’t sit on his behind. The photographer he just did grin, The other four, at least they posed. As they held each other hands, They lay on tummies, played row the boat.
Camera flashing they all looked grand, Josh decided he would join them, For he was offered a lolly. The photographer maybe got a couple, And everyone seemed jolly. Individual pictures were then taken, Brother and sister, brothers too, Of course they then started to show off, So the photographer said, “we are through.”
All in all a very good hour, I do hope I get some good pictures. It certainly was a happy time. And my picture will be one of my treasures.

Angel42 your support is very much appreciated as is everybody's. I could simply not go on alone by myself, so thank you and thanks for the meaningful poem.
Doreen, I beg your pardon to have arranged your poem a bit smaller but I have to watch the space, thanks for understanding. Your poem is lovely and I wished we could then add one of these pictures but I am afraid this won't work, so I will look for something "suiting". Thank you.

Twilight Feeling
The sun rests on the hilltop Before waving good night Let me hold on to your hand To keep mind and heart bright On such evening twilight That glows inbetween trees The birds too get silent Blessings settle and peace

Yes, Mystic their is a feeling of serene twilight upon this site, now that we know our Captain is coming along. You say this so well in the few words you share our way. A fondness grows in between members, for our ship's Master is on the mend..............

Dreamlike Caverns I walk within dreamlike caverns I hold so fond and dear In my stroll amid the shadows in the valley of yesteryear Searching for sweet memories in the early morning calm Which linger ever so softly as the past caress the dawn? What peace comes over me as I hear the forgotten chime? Moments surreal appear like flashes of sad time As I march upon the sands, my heart begins to cry For what was lost along the way, my soul begins to sigh Into the entrance of this domain exists love’s array? Enchanting visions that seems to have gone astray Timeless moments captured floating in a magical parade Hoping to find life’s patterns will not be a charade Pausing to view this sanctity, I kneel and begin to pray Seeking a certain feeling hoping to have a say I face this unknown struggle, wishing to find a light Leading me back to happier days filled with such delight Sensing it’s never easy to find the source of one’s passion Knowing love been lost amid the darken canyons Strolling down this lonely road amerced with such remorse I stop, step back, planning to chart a new course Written by: Roland R. A Simple Girl
Such a simple girl am I So I will try and reply Deep poem are to me Words I don't understand you see A poem that in inself is a riddle While reading it, I get in a muddle I do like very simple words Where a poem just seems to go forward
A poem that I can understand Where nothing hides, that's under-hand Nothing wrong with that, if that's your way Maybe I will understand one day So Tom, I think your poem is deep For a dictionary I had to seek to complicated for me you see For I'm just plain simple, that is meTom wrote a poem about Deep or Shallow This was my response

PUSS by- CP Dhuet When I stroke my puss I say - OH BOY! It gives me such - A lot of joy! She's soft and silky- And feels so smooth- It's a field of velvet- And makes me groove. Now if your mind- Is a bit confused- This really makes me- A bit amused. I'm talking about- My silk black cat- A joy to stroke- A joy to pat.

The poem PUSS is in reply to Doreen's preference for simple understandable dialogue. But then I wonder if it has secondary implications? CPD
