A Box Full of Secrets
I have a box full of secrets that only I can open it's filled with special trinkets which often leaves me coping
With memories held so dear this secret box makes me weep and never will I fear the love that goes so deep

My box of wishes
If I were given three wishes I would keep them in a box For presently, I am happy So I could keep my box locked.
I would not wish for money It is only there to spend Happiness, I have plenty Sharing with family and friends
My health is good enough Just age related I fear. I have been happy and sad But God is always near.
With my dear husband I have travelled a lot I have laughed and I’ve cried Yet I’m grateful, for what I have got.
I have everything I need At this present time Time to give and time to share With those Grandchildren of mine
But as I walk these earthly roads My God is by my side And if I need those wishes He will help me to decide.
But my box is a secret so noo ones does know What I really wish for And I will never show

A box full of secrets
Lined up in cardboard, linen or leather With titles written in colour or gold, Stand book after book , all close together Being a treasure for mind and heart bold.
Among them there is just one single book Like dozens, in fact it is furtive fake, Although possessing a very same look, No pages, it’s empty, for secrets’ sake.
In there are treasured little values of life, Once gifts, collected all through many years, Tokens cherished as child, now as wife Reminding of happiness, joys and tears.
A book full of secrets, precious to me Long times forgotten -- with racing heartbeat Taken off the shelf to set ‘diamonds’ free, Guiding me back along memory street.
My secrets remain forever and a day If I’d share them they lost all sense, With me they wandered all this long way Reminding treasures, a lifetime dispense.
