In My Dreams
In my dreams
There is no pain
I leave the past behind
Looking to the future again
I fly on a rainbow
As birds fly high
So happy and free
Across a blue sky
In my dreams
No wars or suffering
All turmoil doth cease
Happy people laughing
Love is spread around
As not all is as it seems
All these in one place
For this only happens
In my dreams

Flight of Fancy
If I were a bird, flying up high
My soul was free to touch the sky
No need to care, light I would be
To travel miles over land and sea.
My only friend would be the wind
With all power of elements twinned
I lean on the rainbow and look down
Notice people walk with a frown.
Alone I soar, don’t quite know where
Solitude by far reigns up there
I’d spread my wings in silent flight
Until the day turned into night.
With hesitation I keep thought
How down on earth so much is sought
I wished that what I now could tell
Was understood in a nutshell.
