BABY ANIMALS
I love baby animals
I hope you do too
small, cute and fluffly
I'll name just a few
samall cuddly kittens
Mischievous pups
Yellow fluffly chicks
Shame, they grow up
For baby animals
so small and sweet
all when brand new
Eyes still asleep
These baby animals
are oh, so small
arriving in spring
we love then all

Animal babies everywhere
It only happens in the Spring
And is an amazing ‘thing’,
On trees, in woods and underground
Animal babies can be found.
All of them, so small and cute
Have to be given a tribute.
These gifts of awaking season
We all love for heartfelt reason.
Some are naked when they’re born
Like birdies which just look forlorn.
Their charm comes with feathers pretty
Fresh beauty’s erasing our pity.
Already with such soft fur,
Those who from the first day purr,
Others’ voice perhaps says ‘woof’;
Or the foal with dancing hooves.
Animal babies are so sweet
To our eyes and hearts a treat,
Most of them so rich for nature
And good company once mature.
