To everyone this is an individual place: My own little Eden

My own little Eden has not a tree of life to understand or reason with very little strife
It brings a good feeling along with calmness and containment to keep a heart from careening beyond the darkness lies commitment

You gave the poem some depth Roland, very well done, thank you.

Thanks Mystic, it is not easy to write a poem on a subject requested by another, but I gave it my best.

This is my Eden
My brother’s garden is a bit of heaven Away from the worries and cares of life A place I can sit and be at peace As I forget about everyday strife. Lots of trees, so cool and shady Where the birds also like to visit Germaniums and lavender bushes Sweet fragrances where-ever I sit
There is a breakfast room for mornings And a special place for tea For the gardens has many rooms Yet I know where I love to be For my favourite place in the garden As I just let the hours drift by Is when I sit on the veranda While above is a cloudless sky

I know what you mean Roland, it is a challenge and I for myself enjoy to give way to it!

My own little Eden
If we have a garden or a balcony With green and flowers, lovely views to see, We are lucky, for in times of stress There is a place of help beyond assess.
Peace, a chair and my world is moving slow The quiet nature helps my thoughts now flow. The garden Eden comes to mind and I Can’t help to breathe of relief a sigh.
In middle of a lovely, work filled day The plants and flowers seem to say, I must make the most of this freedom, Gratefully enjoying my own little Eden.
