You are a million tiny sparks in the dark night You are the firefly spreading your light
when it is dark You let off a dim light But you glimmer and shimmer And you glow in the night
You are only small The world is so huge You glow foe us You have nothing to lose

When the fireflies glow
On top oft the Summer Is when the fireflies glow, Tiny brilliant lanterns All over pastures show.
‘Glow-worm’ here they’re called Not worms, beetles they are. Granting us night magic Like little downfallen stars.
Reason why this creature Is so brightly shining, In a matter of ‘love’ Their light is determining.
Many miracles of Summer Of mysterious sight, We freely discover When we stroll through the night.
