Since the milder days and the flowers are calling us outdoors, gardeners start what often is passion and not just work, so our new weekly theme is
The Gardener

Planting Seeds
We planted seeds today Finley and me In a pot soil and water seeds on top add more soil put somewhere warm until they sprout and are big and strong They can go outside then, all day long. A good job done.
Children are like seeds You watch them grow As babies they need the food and love you bestow Once they start to grow and are big and strong They can go outside then, all day long. A good job done

An old one but I thought it was appropiate

My Summer Job
Soon as it is warm outdoors In my garden I spend hours Sit in the sunshine near the pond And sweetly talk to the flowers
Some weeds are already green And strong without me to sow They may be a bother sometimes But God also made them grow
The vegetable plot is too Proudly showing seedlings They need much care and shelter And inside stir my feelings
So much I can discover In my garden day by day And my job as a gardener Is the best job anyway
If I can bathe in sunshine Or from my bench watch the rain My garden keeps my heart happy And blows shadows off my brain
For my garden I am thankful The work there is no ‘must’ A gardener works for beauty In the garden of life’s gust
