Footprints in the Sand
Such lovely weather So let go and play We'll go to the beach To spend a nice day Pack up some lunch and go to the sea Fist thing I'll do Is have a cup of tea.
Take a mat Pack a towel too For we'll have to paddle It's what people do The sand is wet I see footprints in the sand I love to see them As we walk hand in hand
After a lovely day It's time to go home Wen I glance behind me Our footprints are gone

Doreen another classic from your mind, when I glance behind me our footprints are gone, erased by the water which flows with the tide.

Footprints in the sand
Footprints in the sand Won’t live very long Soon are washed away By ocean’s waves so strong
Footprints in the sand From me to the horizon..
A minute on the sea shore In the heart lingering on

Raphel, fine words you share as one's heart lingers on.

Footprints in the Sand
Footprints in the sand mixed with the rolling tide creates memories across a span of time deeply held with pride
I walk along this weathered beach alone without a soul to share the thoughts for you I cannot reach such sweetness I can only dare
So on the sands I leave footprints to mark my trail for old time sake you were my Queen and I your Prince alone I walk towards my fate

Alan, I felt your two lined poem needed two more lines, so please forgive me for the additional words.
Four footprints in the sand for hearts entwined with love grants memories ever grand of two souls hand in hand
