Before I Sleep
Before I sleep and close my eyes
I give thanks to God for all he's done
to sort my heart in case I die
cleaning the sins I've tried to shun
removes the darkness entrenched in shadows
leaves a calmness within my mind
scaring the ravens and the crows
which craves to steal our souls confined
In the morn I face the light of the dawn
knowing I'll live another day
creates a spiritual graceful bound
to be shared with the Lord who is the way

Sleep (lack of it)
Tossing and turning
for sleep I am yearning.
When sleep won't come
It is not much fun.
I've tried counting sleep
Just like Bo Peep.
thoughts fill my head
so I get out of bed.
I make myself a drink
as it helps me to think.
I just want to sleep
so back to bed I creep.
Tired and weary
I just feel so dreary.
Husband is snoring
which I find so boring.
But I soon close my eyes
and to my suprise
I
fall
asleep
zzzz Good night
