FAREWELL
Saying farewell can be difficult
But goodbyes need not be for ever
For one day we may meet again
So we can always be together
A memory lasts forever
A memory never dies
It will stay in our hearts
Even though we may cry
So do not be sad when you say farewell
Remember that life does go on
So smile and remember the good times
While trying to sing a joyful song.

Mystic next week I am having a hand operation and may be out of action for a couple of weeks, maybe longer. I will try and get on Poetry2share if I can

A Farewell
We said Farewell to childhood, to friends and first love too
And more of such experience waits on us all life through.
The kids are leaving home to breathe the wide world and find out
That it’s not easy as they thought to fix what life’s about.
We may have changed some jobs and soon arrive retirement
Forgotten are the times we struggled, cared and often bent.
Looking back it seems we didn’t bad, our tree of life is green
We gained and shared, we failed and learned, so much we have seen.
Seasons, years and birthdays, we let them out of our hands
Now the days increase the chance for any Farewell demands.
Our earthbound soul won’t understand the grief on mortal loss,
Until on a last Farewell our spirit soars free like Albatross.
