Well, to be honest, I read this title in a piece of lyrics and thought it would probably inspire us for a poem: Retirement Bay

Mum's Diary
I live a life of luxury and I don't even have to go out Food and drink available all day I'm cared for, there's no doubt. This is my diary for December Look!, I'm as busy as can be I will not have to venture too far as the lovely staff look after me.
There is a children's choir a Staff pantomime too switching on of Christmas lights and I won't even have to queue A Christmas meal mince pies and wine well I am ninety-five So that sounds just fine
My hair is permed My nails are painted meals are always ready and I have been accepted I have made many friends and I am never alone this is my first Christmas here So this is a milestone.

This was my Mum's Retirement Bay

Everyone Dee should have a bay of retirement as your Mum has. May we all be so lucky to reach this bay of tranquillity when we reached that point in time.

Retirement Bay
Retirement Bay is a place I hope to reach one day filled with love and is safe One never wants to stray
I've been on many voyages in my trek towards my end my life has been engaging from the poems I've penned
Soon the muse will run its course my ship will sail no more I shall leave without remorse as I close this poetry door

In deed thoughts to consider in your poem Doreen, thank you!
Roland, your lovely poem has a melancholic touch. May your ship continue with blown sails and your poetry furthermore inspire the readers! Thank you.
