When daylight grows longer
For months the days were short and long the night Darkness and frost with cold sprinkling moonlight, How good it then feels being in a warm home Wishing nobody was cold and alone.
Few soft nights when in silence snowflakes fall When magic takes over and captures us all. Thus present the thoughts of daylight to grow, When nature’s token first glimpse of Spring show.
Slowly they’re fading, the long shadows of night On benefit to next morning’s new daylight. Earlier the sun’s rising over hilltops still white It’s worth to get up and admire this sight.
Yes, daylight grows longer, soon Winter is done Again we’re lucky to feel the warmth of the sun. Forests will bear new life, deadened sleep is past Not long and the crimson roses smile at last.

The shortest day has been and gone Winter is still around, for just a while poor robin fluffs his feathers, and sings While I wrap up and try to smile.
Although it is a cold freezing day I see through the snow, bulbs are growing Days are getting longer, so flowers bloom Although outside it still is snowing.
i sit near the fire, keeping warm Eating good food, and talking with loved ones, holding hands waiting for warmer days, so we can go walking
