Christmastree
In Summer all the pretty shaped Pines and Fir They all are standing proud whether tall or short, For birds a frequented shelter and home were Happy life takes place, beneath trees wild pigs snort.
Autumn when cobwebs are decorated by fog From neighbour trees the leaves are tumbling down, Some Firs fear the chainsaw may come for log The Pines dream to be chosen for a special gown.
Winter brings darkness and frost, also the hope For Pine and Fir to be perfect for a cut, Dreams of an angel sitting on its top, Draped with candles, silver and golden-foiled nut.
For few days only the life of this tree is magic It feels the joy it brings and hears the children sing. We know, in the end this little life is tragic, It will fade out after one day being King.
[With all the joy about Christmastree, I can’t deny feeling sorry for all the many cuts]
