Hard Times We sometimes face the hard times It offers us the help of love In need to have someone near hopeful we turn to Him above. A lot of things can happen unknown what future has in store Recalling our good days we learn to accept all more Hard times bring us together among family and friends Our bond to God just tightens with love, hope never ends. Lets share even the shadows they give us new insight His love will heal all pain and bring you back to light.

LIFE BEGINS!
Life begins at forty So the saying goes But life can begin at any age As everybody knows
At the age of twenty-one A whole new world out there But then you get to forty Most people think they’re there
Yet life begins at sixty No more work, just play You can do whatever you like Even stay in bed all day
But I have got to seventy The years have been and gone Seventy years has now passed by BUT Life begins, so bring it on

Angels
In Life they have a special meaning, They bring to Earth some precious blessing.
Footprints leave these Angels’ trace As they move from place to place.
They fill our heart with love so true Spread warm light on the things we do.
Life holds wonders from begin to death, Proved by the touch of an Angel’s breath.
My inside knows they’re more than mystery, Present to guard us and our destiny.
Aware of their visit from Heaven above Thanks God for sending an Angel’s love.

BLESSING FROM HEAVEN
God has heard your prayer And thought how nice it is That you would pray for someone He loves as one of His
And so when voice you raise In silence or out loud He will sends His mercy And make ill health sound
So always give love freely Speak kindly of your friend For He who listens from above Will blessings to him send
And when He does from heaven bless Your earthly friend below The angels rush with lightning speed The blessing to bestow
For they do know that surely This special friend of you Does need the help from heaven And is thankful for it too

Everyday things
Look at the beauty Of everyday things Sky, trees and flowers Hearing birds sing Lord bless us each day With gifts of sight and sound Meadows with buttercups With beauty all around
The beautiful patterns Of butterfly wings Snowdrops popping up At the start of spring Bright stars in the sky The big harvest moon Fragrance of a garden On a sunny afternoon.

Thanks for your comment Doreen and most of all for still coming online to p2s. Without you I would be the only one and I simply cannot yet just move away and leave our lovely Site.
Your poem *Everyday Things" is just so true and moving. Sometimes things happen in life to remind us anew of all the blessings - and we are never sure to still see them one minute later... Thank you for posting, it means a lot!

Norwegian Tragedy
I shed tears for those people whose lives have been taken away for all those poor students It was their last day
where are people so cruel? Why are people so mad? why are people so insane? it makes me feel so sad
so may God bless all the victims and families, who have been torn apart for you will never be forgotton As you are still within our heart

Echoes of Time I heard the hoof beats echo on distant coblestone, time reflected in my dreams, sometimes I feel alone.
Silent streams that span the years can't hear the color blue, they only feel but cannot heal the birth of spring, anew.
Gentle rhythms on the street have called to me before, click clop, click clop the lonely sound of days that are no more.
Countless pages have been turned of youth and life and will; but faster now the candles burn and the hoof beats echo ... still.

Roland, your poem 'Oh Captain' is simply beautiful and I think that we all can relate to your words. It is kind of cold emptiness with this uncertainty about Alan but all these poems support the hope and it is good to share. Thanks a lot!
Doreen, your poem to this actual tragedy in Norway is in honor of all and any victims of war, hatred and crime. I bow my head in silence to think of these suffering families. Thank you!
Rider, what a wonderful, deep and meaningful poem you share with us, 'Echoes of Time' is a real gem on wisdom and sentiments of life. Thank you Terry for joining us here in Forum, it means a lot!

A hand to hold Courage is given When offered a hand And only good vision Drops fears in the sand Denied this warm touch Filled with silent witness A heart clouded so much Praying to lose coldness If we respond to needs Hand in hand we rely On the human good deeds Let us give it a try Your hand gives protection In all this life's rush A mere thought's reflection Is a divine brush Life's journey together With your hand in reach Paints a bright future Loving trust in us each By your hand reaching goals They reflect with each turn Wisdom deep in our souls We're given what we yearn Strong we put out our hands They're taken every day Love’s miraculous bonds Inspire our mutual way

My friend
I asked my friend for courage So I would not be afraid. I asked my friend for help So by my side he stayed. I asked my friend for advice As I didn’t know what to do. I also asked my friend for love And he sent me, YOU.
My friend is always there for me. Whether I do right or wrong. My friend he walks beside me And gives me strength to carry on. I do not always listen When I think life is unfair But yet, I always thank my friend When I say my prayers.

Our Captain
Our Captain, our Captain has made it thru the fog from a stormy gale battling the winds and ragging waves he looks a little pale nevertheless he stands at the wheel, headed to the port known as p2s where a loyal crew awaits praying for his return with looks of deep concern
Take your time my dear Captain, we'll pray the winds blow soft and steady let the voyage heal your body with time your spirit will be ready to take control of a crew who longs to be aboard the ship we've come to share we the loyal members will keep praying for your return for we all do so much care

For Alan
Our friend Alan, admin on Poetry2share He hails from Yorkshire, but has now moved on. Very fond of water, as sailing is his thing Plus fly-fishing and walking, he doesn’t frown upon. Always such a busy man, for if we’re in a muddle He checks all our latest poems and adds the picture too. He never ever grumbles, no matter what we do. So Alan, just a little tribute, but a big THANK YOU.

Self-Doubt
Beneath the glitter of the moon, rides a lonely road For in the somber shadows there’s a coldness to unload Leading to unknown fears hiding around the bend A feeling of distraught one can hear within the wind
Trying hard to avert a tangent that has no mirth It whirls beyond the inlet not caring who it hurts Not having an ounce of dignity no mercy in its code It creeps within our inner selves ready to explode
At times odd occurrences will shape our well being Wondering is this reality really worth keeping Strange how our mentality plays the game of life A never ending battle filled with heated strife
One learns upon this traveled road that life contains no void The darken curbs once feared no longer will we avoid So in the lanes we traverse remember to never pout Standing tall allows our destiny to control our self-doubt

Your poem "Self-Doubt" is very deep Roland and at present I too feel that we have to learn a lot during our life time, sometimes with gladness other times with sadness. So I feel the reality of this your sentence 'One learns upon this traveled road of life'. Thank you for helping support our Forum!
Doreen, I already liked your poem "For Alan" when I read it first time, he really never tires doing anything for others. Our constant care and our faith in his recovery can't be broken.

Happenstance
I feel we’ve always been the captured souls of what we spin Showing a facade to hide the hurt reflected by the bleakness Cursing the bittersweet dreams howling within the wind Pretending to be strong not daring to show a weakness
Continuing to make a go of it when we should know better Wishing to be concealed, but we read like an open letter Hoping it’s not a happenstance to shield our true feelings Hurled by the pressures left lonely by the unkind reeling
Ruptured by the essence which permeates our soul? Seeking the warmth of life to rid this barren cold We prod towards a sanctuary a safe harbor from our sins Searching to find the answers that will satisfy our whims
If it could be that simple to find that saving grace What peace this world would joyfully ingest We each could safely sail within the quicken pace Towards a summit of true love such beauty to digest
