Clandestine 9:11 Thanks for posting MM42. It certainly is a very serious and moving poem and we all remember 9/11. I hope I could help to ease the read a little by trying to slightly alter the format. If you don't agree with, then I can put it back to your original format. Hey thank you alot. I like it , very nice.

Thanks MBb. The translation makes it much clearer. MM42, You may have to wait until Alan is back to access my poems unless MBb can solve that problem too! CPD

A world of their Own
I visit my Mum in a residential home So I see many people all alone Surrounded by many, yet not aware Any-one is around as they sit in their chair
A couple of the ladies, they sit and knit Talking away and they are so quick Others they read, but like silence you see Yet others, they sit, and are not free.
When family and friends do visit their kin Some sit and talk and cannot get in For they do not recognise, son or daughter Leaving them to listen to others chatter.
Many residents like quizzes, bingo or cards And so many are really good with words. All of them need help of some kind or other But whatever they need, to the staff it’s no bother
So please dear Lord, I am so aware In a few years time, that I could be there But I hope and pray, I do not lose my mind For I really think, that is so unkind.

A world of their own - Doreen we all hope to be saved from this disease. We can surround and wrap those mentally lost people we know or meet with all our love and care, for love will reach their inside even if they do not recognize from whom it comes. Blessings on them all! Thank you.

Well done Doreen. I'm sure we all dread the possibility of being in that state of mind and would rather quietly pass away rather than endure it. But even under normal circumstances, our mind like the rest of our body deterioates. Hey all you young ones, comes Dec.2, I will be 88! So if you find a mis-spelled word or two in my comments or poetry, do me a favor and ignore them. CPD

Dear members! By this coming weekend we are now closing this poetry sector A - Z (which was only a temporary little help to keep p2s active). Our dear Alan will then take over and your poetry is again published on Poetry Page as it was before. From my side there is the heartfelt urge to thank all of you who helped me continue and who supported me in my prayers and confidence that everything will be good again. Thank you For your support true For being there When I needed you, For your assistence So good and kind You're true friends We'ld ever find.
Thank You.

Our Captain Returns Sailing to take command of his precious prize Our Captain's rescue ship will soon arrive With loyal crew breathlessly awaiting In wonder of where we'll be taken Upon this ship named poetry2share He will chart a course with care Thru this poetry maze sublime Taking command of our poetry rhyme(Thank you Mystic, for keeping Alan's beloved ship afloat and also to the members who has manned this poetry site, while he been away. Long live p2s, and our Captain who commands her)

MISGUIDEDMYSTERY, Welcome to our sadly impoverished site...it is So Good to hear of a new member in view of the recent illness of our founder. I read your poem...it is surely interesting and I look forward to a better reading..(get rid of your Smartfone and get a computer,) technology baffles me! I found your poem profound yet confusing, and would love an explanation.. Welcome once again to P2S.

AllPoems.. Lovely work as usual from Claude, Puddles,(who is a bit puddled,) Doreen, (who is not puddled at all,) and of course our wonderful Mystic Bluebell. I enjoyed them all although I have not commented individually...I especially liked the welcome back to Alan. (Leni is on holiday in USA at the moment, but asks me for updates on Alan's health.) She sends best wishes to all, especially Alan.

The reluctant leaf
Autumn bring the cooler weather Also falling leaves Reds and browns, so colourful But only one survived He was the last leaf on the tree For the tree was almost bare He still held on, looking all forlorn He was the only one sat there.
The other leaves, hurled and twirled They also did glide and slide As he saw the other tumbling down The reluctant leaf just cried. The sun did try to move him The wind it did blow Then along came a storm But that leaf did not conform.
It clung on for all its worth Even though summer had gone The other leaves lay on the ground They knew their work was done. For autumn season was here And the leaves were pass their best So finally after a couple of days The reluctant leaf joined the rest.
Doreen E Hampshire
I have posted an Autumn poem before I go away See you all soon

The Reluctant Leaf.
Very well done Doreen, once again the dreaded Autumn is with us, and that last leaf on the tree will always be there... Until it falls, and you give a great explanation of its thoughts whilst clinging to the tree. I hate Autumn in so many ways, yet love it in others...we are forecast a wonderful weather next week, so I shall love Autumn, despite the falling leaves and dying flowers! If it were a wet, cold and windy week, I should be so depressed. I look forward to planting Spring bulbs in sunshine this next week! I love the poem of your lonely leaf.

Ah yes, the inevitable hold-out. A corollary to us or is it we humans, there is always a reluctant one, a non conformist for whatever reason. Well done Doreen, very enjoyable reading. I like the lessaon it teaches. ***** CPD

Doreen, the change of seasons brings a reluctance to what's to come, you say it so will in the words you use to say goodbye to what has been from the foliage of Spring.................
